Lest We Forget for Solo Violin, Piano, Percussion, and String Orchestra (2009)
(piano and percussion parts are optional)
Lest We Forget was created for the 2009 Remembrance Day ceremony at the University of Toronto Schools. The mood is thoughtful and contemplative, appropriate for this meaningful occasion. The music is a reworking of material from the second movement of Ronald Royer’s Echoes for Clarinet and Orchestra.
The first performance featured violinist Amir Safavi, the University of Toronto Schools string ensemble and conductor Ronald Royer.
